Architectural Technology and Design 1

Students will gain a broadly based knowledge of the principles of construction and detailing for a wide range of different buildings in combination with obtaining the necessary architectural draughting & CAD skills. Pearse College offers over 30 years to teaching experience in this area.

How do I get in?

Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied and Vocational Leaving Certificate, in conjunction with an interview. Industry block release option for those already placed in drawing offices is available.

How long is the course?

One year full time from September until May.  

Students are expected to be available for class, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Where can I go from here?

Progress to Architectural Technology and Design, Year 2, in Pearse College and/or apply through the CAO to Waterford Institute of Technology, Carlow Institute of Technology, Dublin Institute of Technology or other relevant institutes.
