Flexi Fours

 

This is a fresh new approach, based on a flexible menu that allows you to pick and choose the courses that you want from a list of options.  You can choose to undertake 1 course and attend 1 afternoon per week or you can do 2, 3 4 or 5 courses at a time. You can choose to undertake courses from the same general area or you could choose from a mixture of sectors.

Applicants should have a minimum of a Leaving Certificate or equivalent.

Monday

  • Reflexology: 2 - 5 pm
  • Work Experience: 2 - 3 pm
  • Bookkeeping - Manual and Computerised: 2 - 4 pm
  • Children with additional needs: 2 - 5 pm

Tuesday

  • Early Childhood Education and Play: 2 - 5 pm
  • Working with Young People: 2 - 5 pm
  • Child Health and Well Being: 11.10 - 1.10 pm

Wednesday

  • Music Appreciation: 2 - 4 pm
  • Social Justice Principles: 2 - 5 pm
  • Criminology: 2 - 4 pm
  • Word Processing: 2 - 5 pm
  • IT Skills: 2 - 4 pm

Thursday

  • Printmaking: 11 - 2 pm

Friday

  • Early Care Education and Practice: 2 - 4 pm
  • Understanding Youth Work: 2 - 5 pm
  • Web Authoring: 2 - 5 pm
  • Conflict Resolution: 2 - 4 pm
How long is the course?

The courses are run on 5 afternoons per week - Monday to Friday and there are 12 classes per course.

What do I get out of it?

The courses are certified by QQI/FETAC at Level 4 or 5.

Key facts

The courses are part of the Back To Education Initiative (BTEI). The BTEI provides opportunities to return to learning for adults and young people who wish to upgrade their skills.
