Our new Organic gardening course is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to: grow your own food, plant a prize winning garden, create a wildlife patch or woodland walk, reduce, recycle and reuse the rubbish at the end of your yard. You will learn how to produce fresh, chemical free produce, maximise yields and replenish the earth in order to leave a rich and bountiful legacy for future generations. Study areas will cover a wide range of issues such as organic principles, soil management and food crops, landscape construction and design.

The Organic gardening course is aimed at anyone wishing to learn how to utilise one of the earth's most important natural resources, soil, in a sustainable, rewarding and responsible manner.
- Leaving Certificate Standard and/or relevant experience
The Organic gardening course runs one year full time (Sept - May).
The knowledge and satisfaction that you are doing your own little bit to save the planet plus a full QQI/FETAC Level 5 Award in Organic Horticulture - 5M2586
Further study in Institutes of Technology and Universities. Organics is a growth industry in Ireland with government targets set to triple current organic output by 2012. There are opportunities to create small scale businesses providing produce/products for farmers'/organic markets locally.
'Organics' is a way of life. If you are concerned about the environment, health issues, genetic modification, food miles or you simply want to get down and dirty and grow your own fruit and vegetables this is the course for you.
